A 15-minute plan for a creative break

A creative break needs no complicated programme. A small choice of pages, visible pencils and a clear ending are enough.

A child colors a space page with pencils and a small timer nearby.

This is a flexible idea, not a timetable: ten minutes can work just as well as twenty.

Offer three different pages, for example an animal, a fantasy scene and a pattern. Choosing the page helps children begin with more ownership.

Put pencils on the table and let the screen rest. After the coloring time, invite a small change: stand up, drink water, look out of the window or move around.

Coloring complements movement, outdoor play and rest; it does not replace them. A varied day is the goal.
